I’m Abimbola Oladeinde.

I have always known E’ as an Undergraduate in the University of Ibadan and I tell you, there was certainly something about this bubbly lady. She was just extra. And the fact that she was a Christian was kinda shocking to me. I grew up knowing that as Christians we have to work in a certain way or sha look very serious so people can know that we are Children of God. But E’ just debunked that. You can be a Christian and be Very Extra.

Fast forward to 2013, I read on her blog how she wanted to mentor young ladies and I couldn’t but apply. I was at level zero and needed to do something meaningful with my life.

So my Journey with mama has evolved from being a mentee into a Disciple and I must say that I look at myself and see how far I’ve come. How disciplined I’ve become and how intentional I live.

One of the greatest things I covet so much about her is her CONSISTENCY. Mama is consistent to the letters. I must have heard her say how she maintains that level of consistency but I had to ask her again when I met with her and She gave me Heaven’s best answer.

In her words…
Having a Clear understanding of Her Assignment has kept her Consistent. Knowing what You are meant to do and doing just that thing. Not being a Copy-Cat but elevating into that woman God has designed you to be.

I also learnt from her that staying consistent won’t happen by chance, I have to take responsibility which means that even when I keep going and I don’t see results, it’s wrong to stop at that stage, I must keep pushing. And above all, having the consciousness that I’ll give account of everything God has called me to do should drive me to maintain consistency.

Being consistent also means that we do not look for encouragement from people cos frankly we won’t get it, but trust God who gives extra strength for every assignment He has called us to.

In the Discipleship class, I have also learnt to find people like me and hold on to them. I have to make friends as led by God and also make time for the friendships. Also, having a clear vision of what God has called me to do will help to decide the kind of Friend to keep.

I have learnt just like in weight loss, to be tough and beat my flesh(self), and to also work with a strong sense of purpose to get the results that I want.

Its been about two months plus in the Discipleship but I’ve GROWN. I’ve Been Stretched. The energy I thought I didn’t have has come out from it’s hiding place lol. I have Amazed myself and looking forward to been more proud of me before the year runs out.

Love.

Bimz.
