EZIAHA

Hey guys

Ok happy Monday and err’thang. I hope this week is everything you prayed for, and more. AMEN for me too. I have an exciting week ahead and I am looking forward to it.

Ok so I typically LOVE to go jogging or walking on Saturday mornings, especially because everywhere is always so chilled (If you go and return early enough that is), and it gives me time to kinda clear out my head, and organize my weekend.

I ALWAYS listen to a sermon on my way, so I was all ready to dig into my MOMS OF MEN video series I had been working through, with Lisa Bevere and Havillah Cunnington, when I felt the Holy Spirit tell me to get on my Bible App and listen to an audio download instead.

So I flipped to Luke as I heard in my Spirit, and started to listen. It felt like a REVELATION, especially as Luke 1 is a VERY FAMILIAR Scripture. My eyes were just opened to soooo many things that I had it on repeat all through my over 1 hour walk.

It was UNBELIEVABLE!!!

So shall I share my WALKING WITH LUKE lessons …

  1. Just another ‘Letter to a Friend’

The Book of Luke was actually initially written as a LETTER TO A FRIEND, with no foreknowledge that it would one day be canonized into Scripture, and last literally forever. Luke was writing to his friend Theophillus FOR HIS INFORMATION and knowledge only.

With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught… vs 3-4

Ok, that is ANOTHER LEVEL yawl. That’s like me just writing blog posts and then the revelation within is soooo deep it is added to the Bible. Made me wanna pull down my entire blog!!! WOW!!!

I also LOVE that even though He didn’t think it would be canonized, He took his sweet time to do MAJOR research and write an ORDERLY account. Choi!!! This checked me ooo, I won’t lie!!!

  1. Serving, even with challenges…

Zachariah and Elisabeth were old, and without child. Z was a Priest, and I am sure he had been a part of countless baby dedications, yet he was childless. But I love that it didn’t hinder his service to God.

But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.Once when Zechariah’s division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God… vs 7&8

In fact, I can almost infer that He wasn’t consumed with his issues AT ALL, instead He focused on service in God’s house, because when the Angel came with the prophecy, He wasn’t quick to believe. So many times, we have issues and then we let it take us away from obeying God, but that ought not be so. I can liken this to my Pastor M’s life.

For 8 years, she would work/serve in Church, preach up a STORM on having faith and all, dedicated COUNTLESS babies, but yet she had no biological child. As in, she didn’t sulk into a corner, she actually was still actively in the forefront, proclaiming how faithful God is, praying for women through pregnancy to labour to delivery. I recall one time someone told her to be proclaiming this faith thing small small, because she didn’t even have a child to prove her own faith or God’s faithfulness to her. And frankly, that kind of thinking was not far from me in the past. But you see, this God is amazing and He will withhold that thing that we are worshipping until we tear down that idol and build Him ALONE a throne in our hearts.

Zachariah definitely models that. And of course, my darling Pastor M.

  1. The future has already been downloaded…

For our kids that is.

Of course I knew that John’s birth was prophesied BUT listening in closely, I couldn’t believe the details that the Angel downloaded…

…Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born. 16 He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord… v13-17

How amazing is it that God is so interested in every detail of our kids, even their names. I love the ‘filled with the HS even before he is born…’, and the Elijah bit, but my fave  has to be He will MAKE READY A PEOPLE PREPARED FOR THE LORD. Other versions say Make ready for the Lord, a PREPARED PEOPLE!!!

How utterly beautiful. I was legit going to rename my son John haha.

The beautiful thing in all this is TODAY, God is still downloading the destinies of our children into ready and prepared parents’ hearts. I just have a heightened sense of my purpose as a mom, and trust me, nobody is meesing with my child, or future children. That demon hasn’t been formed.

  1. A FATHER’S BLESSING is PRICELESS…

I LOVE how Zechariah, after extolling God in His song, now turns to His son to BLESS HIM!!!

76… And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;
for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,
77 to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
79 to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace…

Gosh, all I could think was just how important it is to marry and make babies with the right FATHER. But then, even if somehow you are a single mom, you better be speaking into that child’s life. As we can see, Z echoed what the Angel G had told him. But mehn, fatherhood is sooo important and I recall the Scripture I pray over my son daily (or most days) came from my hubs. So deep and so apt.

I love how right after the blessing, they say

‘…And the child grew and became strong in spirit…’

All I could say was OF COURSE he would be strong in Spirit. Of course!!!

Lol.

Ok and my final lesson

  1. Conversing with the Word…

Ok so you guys, Elizabeth and Mary were supposed to be having a REGULAR conversation, yet look at all the rhema and prophecies they were dropping. It is like I go to Ibadan to see my friend and from the door, we are greeting each other with prophecy.

…where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

Elisabeth didn’t KNOW what had been told MARY yet she was dropping accurate word.

As this hit me, I was about to CHANGE ALL MY FRIENDS and then CHANGE MYSELF TOO. I am amazed as to how most conversations about the Word cant be sustained in groups among Chicks but when it comes to birthdays, Jokes, celebrities, everybody comes out of their shells and have something to say.

Ah!!! As Elisabeth hit Mary, Mary hit her back with her own WORDED song too.

I’m like God help me please.

Help us.

Help us to have deep conversations about what God is doing in our lives, and not just the shallow stuff.

Personally I am just TIRED, I dunno about the rest of us. I am not saying I am perfect and go about dropping the Word, but I would LOVE to be that kind of Chick. I would LOVE to have those kinda rhema-conversations. It just seems so lacking today.

#SadFace#

Ok that’s all I can share, though I have more. I wanna keep it to just five.

But as a bonus though, I think God is more partial to His chicks. I really don’t see a difference between what Mary said and what Z said when the Angel Gabriel told them they will both have children. Yet Z was made DUMB and Mary was further convinced. God LOVES His gurls mehn…

Hehe

So everyone have a BLESSED week ahead and hey, Squad B is still open so jump in and register.

Or tell someone who needs my services.

Muah

  1. Hi E, i think the diff btw then was that Z was praying for a child, so he was supposed to have faith and readily accept when the child comes, but Mary wasn’t praying or expecting a child so well she was allowed to av doubts.
