hey dolls,
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend…
Today I have decided to blog in absolute CORRECT and COMPLETE vocabulary… No abbreviations whatsoever…:D
I had an embarassing moment yesterday being sunday at Church. So I thought, ‘what da heck’… Let’s blog Embarassing Moments today…
So what happened on Sunday…
It was thanksgiving at my Church DCC, as it was in so many other Churches in Lagos… Including the Church the rest of the House were going to.
I had this brown, layered, assymetric cut dress I had all prepared to wear… With black high Sandals… So after taking a shower, and ignoring our House help who said I should follow them to their thanskgiving as they would share Rice there… Imagine, I got into the dress and ladies and gentlemen, it would not zip… Invisible zip, you know the drill… I tried, sucked in my tummy, pee’d, no show… Dress no gree… One of our househelps tried to help me and then the Zipper came off… Wahala… My sister kept laughing… Telling me how I had added weight and so I should stop deceiving myself… That was not a lie seeing as I got that dress over 4years ago… And yes, I have added a few inches… *sobs*
I absolutely ignored her… Since I was heaven bent on wearing that dress, I did what any Star going for the Grammies in an already specially designed Dolce which decided to ‘yawa’ on the night of the event would do… I decided to sew myself into the dress…
Yes… Pick up your Jaw already… Many many Stars I have SEEN do it… From Tyra to Beyonce to Kimora… To Genevieve to Sasha… Yes!!!
So I decided, I’m gonna be sewn in…
But the only thing I missed was getting a good ‘Sewing Person’. I had just the Help who was also in a hurry seeing as they had almost left her…
Chic sewed what she can… And ran to Church for her rice and thanskgiving… In that order…
And Eziaha zoomed off to Church with the confidence of Selena Gomez when she is with Justin Bieber…
Only for me to get to Church, come down, especially as I am running late and hoping first service is still on so that second servicers would be all outside and no one would sit in my special seat by the aisle that allows me to dance very well… Ra ba ba if you get my drift…
So I alight, and wham, the zipper we thought we had sewn GAVE WAY…
Obara Jisos…
Olorun…
God being ever so merciful, not too many saw it and the zip was a side zip…
Running from just under my armpit to just below my Boobs… Open!!!
At that point, my brideprice was under threat… Serious one…
So I just carried my Bag very well… At the same torn side… Walked back out…
Went to some Girls waiting for 2nd service… Asked one of them with all the dignity I could muster… Only for the chic to say I should turn let her see…
Hiss!
And we were in public with guys all around, and I had been walking rather funny already, swinging one hand and not the other…
I just left her and went to another…
I’m sure you are wondering what exactly I wanted them to do… Maybe pull their dress and give me? No darlings, I was wise enough to throw in the needle and thread with my Bible… Yay!!! I’m smart I know!!! And I have foresight…
Thankfully the second girl I went to was all sweetness… And she could sew well… So we went into an adjoining building and she sewed me in. And very tightly too…
And she was like ‘lucky you second service hadn’t started’. I wouldn’t have been able to dance well at all, being so self conscious before all my boobs would be out in public glare…
The Security at the House sha came to embarrass me and was like we should leave the Hospital Premises, blabla bla… Hmm… Sunday was my day indeed!!!
The Devil is a liar… God punish the Devil!!! Tehehe…
After the dress drama, you would have thought I had had my fair share of embarassing moments for the day… No ooo!!! There was more.
As your’s sincerely was dancing like David danced, my Sandal decided to give way… While I was even going out for thanksgiving… Wow!!! I was so high on the Holy Spirit that I just ignored it, managed it, and kept dancing.
Thankfully I had another in the Car… Yay!!!
I had an amazing day despite… Especially in church… Despite the fact that a “Sister” in church actually slapped my wrist and gave me one ‘Sinner’ look when I was sitting during opening prayers because I was trying catch my breath after the whole dress drama and then switch off all my phones… The Sister obviously was another test for me… I just smiled at her and continued what I was doing… Over zealous Senior Sister… SMH…
Phew… I think I have reached a limit today… I have two more embarrassing moments to share…but let’s save it for tomorrow…
One was at the airport… Oh my God…that one was an episode…
And then the second was not as embarrassing as it was scary… Being stuck in an elevator with no hope of coming out!!!
I’ll catch you tomorrow…
Have a good evening… And yes follow me on twitter @eziahaA… I’ll follow back…
Kisses

be kind to one another
xx

  1. Wow, embarrassing indeed. I just imagined if it was the zipper of my trouser…
But what was that first chic thinking when she asked to see the opening? That you’ll “gladly” show her? In the public? SMH Thank God for the second chic tho.
Looking forward to the elevator embarrassment. *WINK*
